For the final event of Forestry SECC Nature Therapy Series, the Department of Agriculture is auctioning a stay at the Redden Lodge for one weekend (Friday-Sunday) of the winner’s choosing during Spring of 2021 (estimated value of $500).

Redden Forest Lodge is on the National Register of Historic Places and offers a rustic and picturesque setting for family gatherings, special occasions, and group meetings. Built circa 1903 as a hunting retreat for Pennsylvania Railroad executives, today the lodge is one of the centerpieces of Redden State Forest near Georgetown, Delaware’s largest at over 12,000 acres. Lodge rental fees vary by season and day of the week. The Lodge has a complete kitchen and is handicapped-accessible although overnight visitors must bring their own sleeping bags or cots.
